About Kevin Sweeney
GRI, ABR Kevin Sweeney grew up in Staunton, the oldest son in a real estate family. With a grandfather who was a local homebuilder and a father and mother who are real estate
brokers, Kevin has real estate in his veins. Kevin went directly into real estate in 1992, after graduating from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelors of Science in Business, with Special
Attainments in Commerce. Kevin has strived to be a leader both as a professional in the Real Estate industry and as
a citizen of Augusta County. He has always sought to stay on the cutting edge of the real estate industry and personal development. To this end, Kevin is constantly taking
classes, attending seminars and reading books. Kevin teaches others what he has learned through seminars on selling and buying real estate, achieving personal financial
success and on developing business plans. Kevin also volunteers his time and knowledge to organizations such as the Staunton Augusta Association of REALTORS, the
Virginia Association of REALTORS and as an instructor for the Augusta County Parks and Recreation Department. In 1997, Kevin married his longtime soulmate, Alice. They currently reside in a home they built in Fishersville.
Outside of real estate, Kevin's interests include running, his
church and teaching. In November of 2000, Kevin ran his first marathon (26.2 miles) in the Northern Central Trail Marathon in Sparks, Maryland. Church and family have remained very
important priorities to Kevin, despite a very busy schedule. In 1998, Kevin started seminary part-time with Saint Augustine's Theological Seminary and is progressing towards receiving
Holy Orders through the Anglican Church in America. Kevin is a teacher, and since 1993 has been giving public seminars on subjects such as how to buy a home for zero down
payment, how to sell a home in 30 days or less, how to get completely out of debt and how to build a successful business plan. Kevin has taught seminars on public speaking
and networking to insurance agents, health professionals and to other adult professionals seeking to improve their leadership skills.
Currently, Kevin is the Managing Broker of RE/MAX Advantage in Waynesboro. In this position, Kevin recruits and trains some of the most productive real estate agents in the Shenandoah Valley.
